Whale-watchers worship this solid nonsmoking, "family-friendly" choice "just two blocks" from Sea World "in the hill country outside San Antonio" that also has a tankful of "kids' activities" too from a "zero-entry pool" to "fire pits at night for s'mores"; while grown-ups like the "wonderful" spa, "beautiful" patio area, "inviting lobby" and "free Internet", they hoped for more from the "dull" rooms; P.S. with "no golf or tennis", reviewers say this "shouldn't be called a resort."

The hot tub could use a little more up keep.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful especially barb at the front desk she would go out of her way to make sure our stay was pleasant.

We loved the campfires and heated lap pool. It was not very crowded during our stay, off season. The beds were very comfortable.
The front desk want to charge me $40 extra for 2 double beds, even though I called to request that.
It seemed safe as I was worried about traveling with my 2 daughters. I saw joggers around nearby neighborhoods. Hotel staff was very friendly and professional. Rooms were nice but nothing special. It was about 15 minutes to Downtown so I avoided paying hotel parking prices there. Lots of good places to eat within 10 minutes driving. We loved how the campfires and pool area was set up for many groups to socialize without bothering each other and the heated lap pool was such a treat. Overall, the hotel not resort was very nice and loved the stay, but
I was looking for a resort and was shocked to see it was not a resort. All it had was two pool. Also, the hotel/spa was open only for a little while and I never got to use the steam room or dry sauna. ...read more
